We have been breeding BFLs since 2006, mentored by BLU founder Kelly Ward, who sold us our first sheep. Our flock is not large (10 to 15 ewes) but it is heavily selected for breed type, conformation, fleece, parasite resistance, and robust reproductive success. Located on 60 acres in the “palm” of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, our farm enjoys all types of weather in which our flock is expected not just to survive but to thrive.
We regularly use artificial insemination with UK rams to keep our bloodlines fresh and true to type.
Pitchfork Ranch is Export Certified by the USDA, which allows us to sell both ewes and rams into Canada.
