  • Rhinebeck showing

    BLU Youth member Ellora Chapin with her bred and owned BFL ewe lamb at Rhinebeck 2017 white long wool show. She placed 3rd on the white longwool class. Her natural colored ram lamb placed 4th in his class.


  • Overall Champion

    Glenda Moore reports that her 3 year old natural colored BFL ewe, Levia was the grand champion over all wool breeds at the North Carolina state fair. Madison Pippin exhibited Levia for Glenda.

    BLU member Glenda Moore won Best in Show for her shawl at the North Carolina State Fair. The yarn is from a 3/4 BFL ewe.


  • BFLs a hit at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival

    Katie Sullivan of Cloverworks Farm represented BLU at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival in Tunbridge, VT this past weekend at her vendor booth. Longtime BLU member Kat Smith of Stonesthrow Farm is also a vendor there, as well as on the festival committee. BLU has been a sponsor of this event for several years.…


  • OFFF Show Report

    Several BLU members enjoyed the Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival this past weekend in Canby, OR. Linda Campanario had the First Place Yearling Ewe in the White Wool Class, with Terra Mia Addie. Terra Mia Caleb won Reserve Champion ram lamb in the white wool category for his breeder, Kat Bierkens. Youth member Rhiannon Curley…


  • Reserve in Show!

    BLU youth member Rhiannon Curley entered a single fleece in the open class wool show during the recent Deschutes county fair in Redmond, OR. It was from her new ram, Jehovah’s Cornerstone. The fleece placed champion in the BFL division, and then it took Reserve Grand Champion Fleece in the wool show.
