If you know an aspiring young shepherd between the ages of 9 and 18 years old, please tell them about the Youth Conservationist Program. Donated ewes of heritage wool breeds of sheep are awarded to the winning recipients, enabling them to experience the joys and responsibilities of conserving heritage breeds. In 2016, 15 ewes were awarded to 15 aspiring shepherds, one of which was a BFL ewe donated by Margaret VanCamp and Lisa Rodenfels. The recipient was William O’Boyle of MD. Applications must be postmarked by April 1st.
BLU supports this program. We are looking for a member to donate the ewe for 2017. Please contact a board member or email firstname.lastname@example.org
